Greetings to all in this forum. I'm having a weird problem with my Captive Work 700S and the RQ-SSSP Client.

Here's the problem.

When I'm watching TV like for a while I just got freezes, when I go to my laptop and check the client, I can see the key is already received by my CW but the image wont keep going until the client download another key (meanwhile I stay on the computer and I can see while the new key after the freeze is downloading, when the CW received it the image continue) So I'cant understand why this freezes because the key already has received by my CW... This happening to me with the 1.04 version....

I have tested the 1.03, and the problem with this version is not the key; is that every and exactly 45 minutes there's a freeze (no matter in what channel I am)... And I can't figure out whats my problem... I have changed the cable and it still the same....

Additional details : I have a backup server (I prefer this, and in this server I don't have this problem, but others...)

timeout for receiving data control - i tried all, and have the same problem....

data write delay - have to be in 0... another number will freeze the image less than 5 minutes..

What is your ping???

If you ping is 30ms or more you will get a freeze.....

If you stay below 30ms ping then you are great..

IKS is all about ping and not about speed, there is a big difference between speed and ping.

I have seen dial up work better then people who have HUGHES Satellite Internet or DISH internet.. The reason??? The ping sucks and even dial up had a faster ping.

ALSO Make sure you take the /EMM
out of the config / server info.

that can slow things down b/c .. well I wont go into that.. but

if its like

username:password@server:port:dsskey/emm

take the /emm out

username:password@server:port:dsskey

like that...

hope you can figure it out.

Captive works receivers work well with the RQ program.

do you have the virtual com port drivers installed? go to device manager and double check to see that they are there, and that ports are configured correctly in the config file..if not use the viewsat xx-client package and adjust the config file to your cw....

if found that the version of xx-client that did not use thous virtual ports worked, but needed at least a p4 computer...

is there a way to speed up the ping?
