using DN receiver as power inserter?

i was reading an article about using the jynxbox with the DN triple LNB dishes and they suggest a power inserter but they do note that a real DN box is capable of powering the LNB's just fine. what i was thinking is if i put a splitter of sort on the line and just hook up the DN box in the line to provide the power will it work? i posted a crude diagram of my idea to see what you guys think.

Splitters do not work. Need two coax and the dn receiver on lnb port #1

It actually work but without the splitters just use the port 1 for the dn receiver and the port 2 for the fta box i have nfusion on my set up and a old dvr dn receiver.
