Linkbox 9000i and 9000i Local Satellite Set up Guide


Confirm your receiver has the latest factory file installed
-To check version, on the controller press Menu>Tools>Information
-If the newest version is not installed you will need to load the newest file

Loading factory file
-Download file
-Unzip and install on clean USB drive
-Install USB into front or back USB port on the receiver
-Go into Menu>Tools>Upgrade by USB
Select the file using arrow right/left on the upgrade file line
Arrow down to upgrade mode, arrow right/left until you get to All Code+Boot Code
Arrow down to start and press OK
-After the upgrade is finshed and the box has rebooted itself go into Menu>Tools>Factory Setting. Select Yes to coninue
When finished, power down the receiver at back switch count to 10 and power back on


Loading a 3rd party file
-Follow the exact instructions posted above using the 3rd party file



Setting up Satellites
-Press menu on the controller and select Installation>Satellite Setup>Satellite list
Here you will select all the satellites you will be setting up. Scroll to the satellites you want and press ok on the
controller when they're highlighted. That should put a check mark in the box on the right
**You can not set up satellites that you have not selected in the list**

After selecting the satellites press Exit 1 time on the controller to return to the installtion menu
-Selcet Antenna set up
-Using the arrow key at the top line where it says "satellite" arrow right/left to select the satellite to set up
-Input the settings that corrispond with the dish/LNB/Switch you have installed
-When your settings are correct and the dish is pointed properly you will see this message appear in the lower right corner

Satellie name [121.0] is Locked The satellite number will corrispond with what your setting up 121.0 is an example
-If another satellite shows lock and doesn't match the "satellite" in the top line there is an issue with your settings
or your dish is missalligned

Once your info and Lock is correct you can press the Blue button (scan start) on the controller
-Repeat the process for all satellites you are setting up

To scan a single satellite
You can use the Single Satellite search option in the menu


To scan/edit/search or add a trasnponder
Press Menu>Installation>TP list & search
-Here you can select the satellite on the top line using the arrow right/left key

To edit a transponder
-Highlight the transponder to edit
-Press Red "edit" button on controller
-Use the number pad and arrow keys on the remote to highlight and and change the desired information and select save when done

To add a transponder
-Select Green button on remote "add" and input the transponder information desired

To delete
-Arrow up/down to the desired transponder and select the yellow "delete" button. When prompted to delete select yes

To scan a transponder
-Hightlight the desired transponder and select the blue "scan start" button


Terrestrial OTA set up (LINKBOX 9000i LOCAL ONLY)
-Make sure you have your OTA antenna connected to the correct input tuner on the receiver
-Press Menu>Intallation>Terrestrial set up
-Select Auto or manual search
-Select scan option
-Select scan Channel
-Select search


EPG
When scans are complete you can load the guide
-Press exit until you are out of the menu
-Press EPG on the controller
-Press the FAV button on the contoller
-Select the mode desired (Basic 7 day works great)
-Arrow down and select OK
The guide will take a few minutes to load


Sorting Channels by SID (station identification)
-Exit all the way out of the menu
-Press the SAT button on the remote
-Select the desired satellites or packages to sort
-Press the green "sort" button
-Use arrow key to scroll down and select Service ID press OK

You should now have your satellites and OTA channels set up and ready for viewing!
