no need to reinstall the factory file as it would have been pre-installed at factory.
It would have to be or there would be no user interface on the receiver

looks like from some stuff I read that the Key Data may be a bit confusing too.
There is only 28 digits for that Key Data, but the 9800 SE may have 32 spaces for the data. To get it correct, use 4 zeros in the last 4 places.
Here's a more informed setup explanation...

Network Server: newcamd
Newcamd Client ID GENERIC
Network Server List: (This one is blank)
URL Type: String
URL: (Use the server URL from your donation code here)
Port : (Use the server port from your donation code)
User: (Use the 12 or 14 digit number from your donation code )
Password: (Use the 12 or 14 digit number from your donation code here) *Both the user and password are the same number from your donation code.
Key Data: (Use the 28 digit number from your donation code here)
You should be able to press connect at this point and will see Connecting Server, Success!! when you've connected to the server.
Now scan your satellites for channels and you should, and I emphasize "should", be good to go.

Install LS500 HD Module.
-First, make sure the unit is unplugged and that the power switch is in the off position. Next, remove the screws holding the side/top panel on the box so that it will slide off to the rear of the box. Next you'll need to locate the old module (if installed) in the front right corner, if looking at the face of the box. Now you'll need to remove a couple of screws that hold the face/plastic piece onto the box so that you have enough room to remove the old module and insert the LS500. (The old module can be removed prior to loosening the face, but the LS500's heat sink will prevent you from being able to insert it correctly while the face plate is still attached. After installing/inserting the LS500 firmly, reattach the face plate, replace the top/side panel and reattach with the screws you removed earlier and you should be good to go.

another question... will the black hi-def oval dishes that dish network installed work??? Thanks in advance
yes
The Hi Def emblem on the dish pan is just an emblem to advertize dishnetwork's HD availability.
Hi Definition uses same LNBs and dish pans as Standard Definition does.
