    RQ-SSSP and CaptiveWorks 600s/600p/700/800 how to P$(No Dongle)

    RQ-SSSP and CaptiveWorks set-up/how to P$(No Dongle)

    Note: The following should work on all Captiveworks receivers with the exception of the Ultima and the HD boxes
    CW 600S regular, CW600P, CW650, CW700 and CW800
    REQUIRED:

    1. NULL MODEM CABLE or
    if your computer does not have a DB9 RS232 Serail port a USB to Serial ADAPTER and a NULL MODEM CABLE with the appropriate USB to Adapter DRIVER for your OS installed on your PC.

    2. The rq-sssp-client 1.03 software which you can download below

    STEP 1. UNZIP the file and you will now have 2 files. rq-sssp-client.exe and rq-sssp-client.conf

    The Com Port should be set to the same as your Loader and Serial Cable.
    most use Com1.
    Open the Config file in wordpad and Sroll down and check your COM Port #

    serial_port=/COM1

    Then scroll to the bottom and add/change your P$ INfo at the last line

    name---xxxxx
    password---xxxx
    domain/IP---xxxx
    port-- xxxx
    Des Key----0102030405060708091011121314

    Example------
    card_server_url_0=newcamd://namexxx:passwordxxx@IPxxxxx:portxx/0102030405060708091011121314

    Make all changes Exit and Save

    NOTE: Both the rq-sssp-client.conf file and the rq-sssp-client.exe file MUST BE IN THE SAME FOLDER ON YOUR PC or you will not connect to server.

    TO SIMPLIFY STARTING THE PROTOCOL
    Each time you shut down your PC you will have to restart the file rq-sssp-client.exe - To simplify this task go to the NEW FOLDER where the file rq-sssp-client.exe is and right click on that file and select create a shortcut. After the shortcut shows up in the folder drag and drop it onto your quick launch bar. Now you can easily start the protocol with a single click of your mouse.

    CONNECT UP YOUR CW

    1. Connect your CW to your television.

    2. With your CW off attach the cable from your dish (diseqc switch) to your CW and turn on your CW. With a good quality signal scan in the required sats.

    3. With your CW off connect your CW to your computer's DB9 RS232 serial (com) port via a null modem serial cable. If your computer does not have a DB9 COM port you can use a USB to NULL MODEM ADAPTER and your NULL MODEM CABLE. You also must install the driver for this adapter for your particular OS. Turn your CW on.

    4. Turn off autoroll: MENU > SYSTEM SETTINGS > OSD > AUTOROLL OFF

    5. Enable Card Share: PRESS f1 ON YOUR REMOTE AND THEN 555
    note: If you enter 555 and the unit DISABLES Card Share then hit f1 again and then 555 to ENABLE it.

    6. Enable Patch: PRESS f1 ON YOUR REMOTE AND THEN 000
    note: If you enter 000 and the unit DISABLES the Patch then hit f1 again and then 000 to ENABLE it.

    7. With your TV and your CW on set it to a channel which is an active server channel. Example: 300 for 119w or 203 for 110w.

    8. Click once on the shortcut (icon) in the quick launch bar for rq-sssp-client.exe and you will get a black window on your pc screen which will contain status information.

    9. Fixing the CAID mismatch At the moment the Captiveworks receivers are having a problem with a CAID mismatch at D!$H sats that keeps the channels scrambled. There is a temporary fix for this problem.
    (Using Bin 2.66 the 700/800 don't have the CAID Mismatch Problem)Files are also posted for 600s and 600p mismatch

    After you have started the rq-sssp-client.exe file using your Captiveworks remote and while tuned into a channel that you wish to watch push the PAGE UP button on your remote (this is 1 button up from the bottom right of the remote). You will now see on your TV screen some CAID information. Next push the CH- or DOWN ARROW to highlight the SECOND CAID line and then push the OK button and then the EXIT button. Your channel should come in within 1 minute. Unfortunately at the moment you will have to do this everytime you change channels, however hitting pageup, downarrow, ok and exit really only takes a few seconds.

    You should now have TV.
