Fully DVB-S compliant, does this mean it's DVB-S2 capable?

    Nope..

DVB is SD and DVB-S2 is for HD..

Although of course DVB-S2 can also carry SD Programming too..

Just Like an Analog TV cannot see Digital Signals..

    mem..

DVB-S are DVB-S2 are television standards both SD and HD tv signal can be sent through this standards.

An example of a DVB-S only satellite receiver that also was HD is the Coolsat 8100 it also has a ATSC tuner. There was another dvb-s only and HD it was the Captain.

There is HD signals out there that are DVB-S. I think the Pentagon channel on 101w is.

All DVB-S2 receivers compliant are SD/HD capable, not all DVB-S are HD capable most of them are SD only.
