Can I install the power inverter on port one and then install the dreamlink T5 after it, with the receiver setting "LNB Power Off"
Has anyone done this with success or failure.

im running out of spots on the 1000.2 Dish LNBF triple LNB.
The other 2 ports I will be connecting Jynxbox V4+, dual tuner project.

    Thanks

It is not recommended to have the inserter and receiver on the same lnb port but many people do it though. My 1000.2 worked great with my dl t5 but i had only 50 foot of coax but now that i moved and have to run more coax it doesn't like that so i made my own inserter out of a laptop charger. I cut the end off and wired a piece of coax to it and fed it to lnb port 1 and it works perfectly now. 19 volts 2 amps are the specs. Do not do this on the same port though if you rig a setup like mine as it would damage the receiver. Regular power inserters deliver power one way and not the other unless the unit goes bad so that is why it is a good idea to have one port dedicated to the inserter of your choice cause you never know.
