A multi switch and a diseqc do about the same thing. Define the "multi switch" in question. Diplexer is used when cable or ota antenna is used to combine the two.

Read what a diplexer does, see my post. A switch may not help you, the lnb may be the problem. When you say "stop working" do you mean with both receivers on at the same time or that the channels just don't work?

A 3x4 Multi Switch just simply extends the 2 Outputs from your LNB to 4..

No a Diplexer is Not Required unless you want to add Off Air TV on the Same Cable..

only one box work with half of the channels showing, the others lose signals, while the other box works perfect

if i turn off the other box the box that lose signals works

so i do believe it needs a multi switch 3x4

Yep Looks like your Sharing the LNB and Unfortunately Because an LNB has 2 Polarities Selectable by Voltage it looks like One channel is selecting a H channel and the Other a V One so Yeah you will Lose Signal..

Now are these receivers Dual or Single tuners ?..

Cuz if they are Single then a receiver to each LNB line should also work without the need for any extra switches..

If you have a lnb with one side that is weak then all the switches that you install will not fix a bad lnb.
