No Signal / Quality Level for Linkbox 8000HD (July 2, 2013)

    Technical bulletin from Linkbox:

    Technical Bulletin T-70213

    Model: Linkbox 8000HD-Plus

Problem: No Signal / Quality Level (all menus work fine except no picture)

    Cause of this problem:

M1 (FET) part is dead (burned)
    M1 supplies 12v to the LNBF voltage (14v - 18v)

    Solution:

Connect jumper wire between BC34 (bottom side leg)
and M1 (right bottom leg) as per the attached diagram.

Note1: BC37 right leg is an alternative of M1 right bottom leg.
Note2: If you damage M1 part, remove the M1 since it does not affect the receiver’s function.
Note3: We recommend to hire a qualified service technician to make proper soldering.
Note4: It is recommended to use any jumper lead wire or low gauge soft wire.
Note5: It is recommended the pre-soldering for both the legs and jumper wire.
Note6: Only the 8000HD - Plus is supposed to have this defect, however, should the 8000HD &
8000HD - Local have the same problem, use the attached diagram.

Repair Method for all three models in the attachment.
