I've entered the same info in the network server setup as my Satzen Z300.
The z300 connects to the server but the Linkbox 8000 hd local does not.

The linkbox did connect once during installation/setup,...but I don't recall which software versions I was using.
If memory serves me right, it was 4.8.5 with 1.4.4....

Heres whats' in the box right now...
Bootcode ver. 2.0
maincode : v5.1.2
seecode: ver 7.3.7
ATSC DB 1.1.7

network info :

server url : s1.iks66.tv
user & password are the same xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (x's are only for demo purposes,...and not exact)....
DES: 1234 1234 1234 1234 1234 1234 1234

The box was reset to factory, then scanned for birds..

server page on the box says, SERVER DISCONNECT.
When I hit the connect button,...it just flashes and returns to SERVER DISCONNECT

Youtube can be seen on the box, so internet connection works.

Is it possible there is a software issue at this point?
The stb did once connect.
I'm kinna stumped at this point...
Any advice is welcomed, and appreciated...
Cheers,
Chicken

Good question Tstruck,
Didn't realize that it mattered.
It seems to me I loaded them as main & boot code...
But I'm not certain,...so its probably worth the effort to reload the files as you would recommend.

I's also like to thank you for putting the thread into the proper category.
I was unsure as to my problem being of an IKS nature or Linkbox..

If my LimeSat was refered to as a Limey,...does that make the Linkbox a Linky???
because I was told electricity comes from electrons,...making morality come from ...well ,..you understand...

Thanks for the help & guidance,...
Its quite appreciated...
Thats why I love this site....
And the service I get from 66....;)

Cheers,

If you want to call your box a Linky then by all means we can respect that :)

I hadn't moved your thread into correct area. Another musta done that for us.

FYI....
I reloaded the software as ALL....and now everything works as expected, including connections to the server.:D
The stb is running firmware (main code ver. 1.8.4) and see code ver 7..3.8

Thanks for the help Thunderstruck;)
